THE G-DHEAD CHRONICLES

As Told to

Thomas R. Lancaster
I was rushing desperately to meet Sir Thomas for dinner at the Banff Springs Hotel when my rental car skidded off the road and careened into a snow bank. Fortunately, little was hurt but my pride, which was at an all time high because I had just successfully traversed the mogul course at Sunshine Ski Resort earlier in the day. Surveying the situation, I decided to leave my car, call a tow truck and hitch a ride from one of the many skiers now making their way back to town.
After changing my clothes and realizing that I was only twenty minutes late, I hurried down to the main dining room area to find Sir Thomas sitting by a window slowly sipping his usual lime juice mixed with sparkling water.
"Well Jesse, I'm pleased to see I wasn't the only one who was late," said Sir Thomas smiling. "I just arrived about thirty minutes ago from Calgary and was afraid that you had gone to one of the other dining areas looking for me."
"Thanks for thinking that I am a more punctual person than I actually am Sir Thomas," I commented almost apologetically. "But the truth of the matter is that I am late for almost everything. Ha! I guess I haven't learned to master time as well as you and your two associates. By the way, where are Col. Stuart and Dr. Savage tonight? Did you guys come here together or do you intend to link up with them somewhere else?"
"Col. Stuart is in South Africa taking care of some family business," said Sir Thomas in a matter of fact manner. "Pete, on the other hand, intends to meet me at the Newark airport in a couple of days since we have some unfinished business in New Jersey near Leeds Point. We're also going to meet Rene and Victoria in Princeton for dinner since we haven't seen them in a couple of months."
"I really appreciate you meeting with me here in Banff on such short notice," I said trying to sound as sincere as possible. "I didn't realize you had relatives near here in Calgary that you had intended to visit. I guess this has worked out well for both of us since I'm an avid skier and have enjoyed coming to Banff. By the way Sir Thomas do you ski?"
"In my youth, my father and I often went to Whistler, British Columbia to ski," commented Sir Thomas. "I had a real passion for it, as you obviously do. In fact, I was a very accomplished skier by the time I was ten years old although many of the adults considered me to be completely reckless. I'm sure that if I were being brought up today I would be one of those lads whizzing along at top speed on a snowboard with no apparent fear of anything. However, quite candidly, I have skied very little since my transfiguration on that fateful day in 1963 when I first encountered the 'Being of Light.' That event completely altered my life and since that encounter I have been primarily involved in attempting to comprehend the messages that the Creat-r has sent me to pass along to mankind."
"Let's discuss that point if you don't mind, Sir Thomas," I said in a serious vein. "When you and I first got together to discuss the memoir that we eventually called 'The Second Coming,' I found what you were telling me to be almost unbelievable. Could you please provide me with some additional insights into this encounter with the Archangel and your emotions at the time?"
"I'll be glad to do that shortly, Jesse," said Sir Thomas smiling, "but first I would like to focus on some aspects of my life that preceded that eventful encounter with the entity I call the 'Being of Light,' since I consider that essential in understanding my transformation."
"For the sake of the many readers who will ask this, please tell me if Archangel and 'Being of Light' are synonymous in your mind," I asked before Sir Thomas could continue.
"No, they are without question, quite different entities," said Sir Thomas convincingly. "The 'Being of Light' is the actual material manifestation of the Creat-r, while the Archangels are the Creat-r's chief agents responsible for carrying out His wishes, actions and judgements."
"I'm assuming then that you've encountered Archangels as well as the Creat-r in your time travels to the past as well as the future?" I said in a quizzical manner.
"Actually no," commented Sir Thomas appearing somewhat lost in thought. "Let me try and clear up this confusion for you as well as the readers. My one and only encounter with the 'Being of Light' occurred on that eventful day in 1963 when I died and left the material plane. After being brought back to this dimension by the Creat-r, my later encounters were with beings that some would call Archangels."
"You mean on that day, you actually believed that you encountered the Creat-r?" I said in a somewhat disbelieving manner.
"Yes, however I encountered only one small facet of the Creat-r as He chose to manifest Himself on the material plane. No one can see or rather encounter the Creat-r across all dimensions. Being primarily three-dimensional creatures composed of organic matter we simply do not possess the innate skills to do this and I am certainly no different in that regard. The Creat-r purposely designed us in this manner, for to behold the Creat-r in the World of Emanations would be tantamount to annihilation since we simply could not cope with the incredible force of energy. What I'm telling you is not a revelation however, as the ancient Hebrew mystics knew all about how the Creat-r could manifest himself to mankind through what they call the ten Sephiroth of the Tree of Life. The wisdom of the ancient Kabbalah is very profound and most of this information is readily available to those who wish to pursue it. I would encourage anyone who wants to truly be a great sage and understand the Creat-r and his relationship to mankind to do so. First start with the Torah and learn it well. You must accept the fact, that the restrictions outlined in the Torah must be tenaciously followed in detail. It's a simple fact that if you wish to get close to the Creat-r you must follow these restrictions like giving up pork, rabbit and shellfish just to mention a few. I wish to emphasize that contrary to popular belief such restrictions did not simply come about because these foods would quickly spoil back in ancient times. The Creat-r had a purpose in telling you not to eat these foods. If you want to truly understand and know G-d's will you must adhere by these simple rules as well as the others outlined in the Torah such as not working on the Sabbath, for example. Once an individual has adjusted his living style to conform to the expected path then he would progress to the 'Book of Formation', the Sepher Yetzirah and then finally, to the Zorah, the 'Book of Splendor'. A good Kabbalist as a guide is also mandatory since many Kabbalistic instructions are based in metaphors or allegories and the hidden meanings must sometimes be ferreted out."
"My G-d, Sir Thomas!" I exclaimed. "What your proposing would take years of concentrated study. Is this the path you would suggest for most human beings?"
""No, of course not!" said Sir Thomas appearing mildly angered. "The Kabbalah is but one path of seven to becoming an adept and understanding G-d's will. The Creat-r knows full well that most humans do not possess the constitution to commit to such rigorous circumstances nor does He expect it of everyone. What He does expect however, is that we be emotionally connected to Him as well as to all other living creatures and ourselves.
This is the essence of the planetary transformation He hopes we will choose for the future. The actual unification of mankind with the G-dhead."
"By the way, isn't Kabbalah the name of your time ship?" I said, somewhat confused.
"Well yes, the Qabala was named after the Kabbalah, but Col. Stuart, Dr. Savage and myself chose the more arcane spelling for our time ship to eliminate any possible confusion between the two. It is also the spelling preferred by many western mystic organizations, however that really had nothing to do with our choice," said Sir Thomas.
"Getting back to my life prior to my experience with the Creat-r, I can only say that I was a typical dandy who spent a major portion of my early adult life drinking excessively, gambling and chasing women. Since I came from a wealthy family I had no compulsion about spending money freely and as a result I had many individuals who hung around me just because of my generosity and benevolence. This came to a halt one day when my father confronted me about my excessively extravagant lifestyle and strange companions. He threatened to pull the financial purse strings unless I started to focus my attention on something more interesting to do with my life. Looking around for a worthy pursuit, it came to my attention that I had always been interested in physics and mathematics and seemed to actually have a talent for these things. I had already earned an undergraduate degree in the pure sciences and decided to go abroad and pursue graduate training in physics. I also took a keen interest in computer technology, which was just in its infancy at this particular point in time. Needless to say, my interest in computers has continued to the present day, as I am well acquainted with all the latest technologies as well as most of the theoretical pursuits in this area. In fact, Dr. Savage and myself were doing things in the late 1960's that are similar to what is being called object oriented programming today. Further development and extrapolation of this concept in the early 1970's allowed us to refine the first phase of our multidimensional programming language that we now call Spectrum."
"Although my extravagant lifestyle had changed considerably with my new interest in academic pursuits, my value structure remained pretty much the same as before. I viewed what I was currently doing as something that was simply occupying my time before I could get back to my real interests that I described earlier. Naturally, what little spare time I did have was dedicated to these pursuits unbeknownst to my good father, as he would have surely restricted my finances even more."
"Early in the 60's I was attending a university seminar on theoretical physics in the northeastern USA when by happenstance I met Col. Stuart first and Dr. Savage a few minutes later. All three of us were attending a session dealing with the possibility of long distance space travel and I was sitting behind Col. Stuart in the room. I happened to glance at some of the mathematical equations that he had jotted down in the upper corner of his notebook and I immediately recognized one as John Henry Poynting's Vector Equation but it had been modified extensively. Next to the equations was a diagram of a very unusual machine with men inside. An associate (Dr. Savage) that had accompanied Col. Stuart noticed my interest in the material and immediately informed the Colonel of this fact, upon which he glanced at me, smiled and then closed his notebook. Needless to say, the modified equation and the drawing I had observed earlier intrigued me. During the break made a point of introducing myself to Col. Stuart so that I could find out more about him. At first, he was very reserved in his manner and a bit reluctant to talk to me since he was engaged in a conversation with a well-known physicist. In fact, after his discussion he turned to his associate and appeared to be at the point of walking away. Thinking quickly about his interest in Poynting's Equation, I indicated to him that my specialty was the study of electromagnetic wave generation, hoping to get a positive response. Amazingly, Col. Stuart's demeanor changed entirely as he quickly walked back to me and asked me to explain my interest in electromagnetic wave generation in more detail. His associate also joined us and introduced himself as Dr. Pete Savage. For the next two hours these men grilled me about Poynting's Equation and possible modifications to it. We talked about their concerns about mixing electric and magnetic variables, nonlinear fields and nonproportional magnetic energy and other things, which Poynting's Equation does not adequately address. In fact our discussion on these issues became so intense that we decided to retire to a local tavern to discuss these things in far more depth."
"Once seated, Col. Stuart ordered one Vodka Gimlet for himself and a glass of lime juice and sparkling water for Dr. Savage, who does not drink alcohol because of his Muslim faith. Unfortunately, I had several drinks during our ensuing discussion. Needless to say, my demeanor changed substantially with so much alcohol in my system and I pretty much started stating my feelings about the latest thinking in physics. This of course led to lengthy and heated discussion of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. What seemed to set Dr. Savage off was my supposition that Einstein's Theory of Relativity was based on an inaccurate perception of time since a portion of the original equation actually appears to be a corrective measure to this effect. Additionally, I indicated that the equation dealt with only one dimension instead of four as previously thought. Grabbing a waitress who was walking by, I pulled a pen from her pocket and a paper place mat from her hand and proceeded to rewrite both Poynting's Equation as well as Einstein's Equation to account for the variables we had just discussed. As Col. Stuart and Dr. Savage observed my modifications, they became very quiet. Col. Stuart leaned over and pulled several papers from his briefcase. Amazingly, other than minor nomenclature variations, the modified Poynting and Einstein Equations he showed me were identical to the one's I had just written out!"
"Wow, I guess you're saying in essence that great minds think alike!" I nodded.
"Well, not really, "said Sir Thomas in a serious manner. "You must remember that this took place in the early sixties. The vast proportion of the academic community seemed solidly behind Einstein's Theory of Relativity and for three relatively unknown people to question the perceived G-d-like wisdom of the Equation would have been considered heresy, especially for a mere graduate student like myself. This is really sort of ludicrous when you think about it because if you've read anything about Einstein you would realize that he was something of a rebel too! To be honest with you, this is why I think that Col. Stuart and Dr. Savage took such a liking to me. They knew I was iconoclastic in my thinking and did not follow the traditional or career convenient wisdom that was so prevalent in those days. I later found out that both of these men considered individuals who were entrenched in conventional and traditional thinking, even well intentioned, to be one of the greatest obstacles to new and radical discoveries that can benefit mankind."
"Anyway, what I'm pointing out to you and our readers is how different my beliefs and perceptions are today compared to those I had when I first met Col. Stuart and Dr. Savage. As you can see in my earlier years I was completely taken with carnal pursuits to the point that they were becoming obsessions with me. I virtually disregarded my early religious training as so much superstitious mumbo jumbo. I felt people used religion as a crutch and that society used it as a control. What was a very real and innocent Christian faith as a child had degenerated into a surreal fairy tail in my mind. At least this is how I felt before my own resurrection by the Creat-r on that incredible May day in 1963. Fortunately Col. Stuart and Dr. Savage, who are very religious men in their own right, did not pursue this point with me, as they seemed to value me as a member of their team primarily because of my technical abilities. At this stage in our relationship we rarely touched on religious viewpoints. I later found out that they purposely avoided any spiritual discussions because they viewed that aspect of my being as being severely curtailed because of my hedonistic lifestyle."
"So what you're telling me then is that before 'you were brought back to life' you really weren't a person that lead a godly life," I said in an almost disbelieving manner. "Don't you think it's strange that G-d would chose you over a far more spiritual person for such a purpose?"
"No, and the reason is that in my initial meeting with the Creat-r I became instantly aware of an important fact. It was as if my wisdom and knowledge had grown a hundred fold. One thing that became very evident to me was that some people are chosen to perform G-d's tasks simply because they cross a threshold or barrier that is rarely crossed. I understand now why some mystic and religious adepts often endure unusual states such as deprivation or pain because these states sometimes create a deep receptivity to the Creat-r's will. You see, within this material universe the Creat-r has allowed us to exercise free will. It's an attribute of being an organic being. We really do have a choice in what we do with our lives. However, my demise some thirty-three years ago as a result of a metal camp stove hitting me in the temple while the time fabric was in a state of flux created a dual reality that had to be resolved. You see no state of this nature had ever occurred before. In essence, I was caught between two realities: the reality of being hit in the temple and killed and the reality of being hit in the back and surviving the event. As a result, all probability pathways for future events were held in check! The uniqueness of the situation drew the attention of the Creat-r who made the decision that I should continue to live as an organic being. In addition, what occurred was also highly influenced by the free will exercised by Col. Stuart and Dr. Savage. If they had not been so tenacious in their attempts to save me I would have surely perished that day. Of course the actual dual reality was created by the contamination of our poorly designed navigational device. This is a pristine example of just how dangerous time travel can be."
"Why do you think that G-d chose to let you survive?" I asked with a puzzled expression on my face. "Do you know the reason for His decision?"
"The Creat-r made the decision that I would survive to ensure the integrity of the time fabric thus preserving His hope for mankind." responded Sir Thomas. "The probability patterns for future events in the time fabric would have altered substantially if I were to die unexpectedly at that point in time. A strange world would have eventually come into existence where the inhabitants would have been in deadly conflict with one another."
"Amazingly, while I waited impatiently for the Creat-r's decision, I absorbed incredible wisdom from the light emanations. First of all, I realized that the door between the living and those that have lived before is an illusion. In our three dimensional reality the transition between life and death is very frightening for most people to even think about. However, in the time fabric you actually see that the transition is an evolution to a higher plane. This is why tragedy for three-dimensional creatures like us is so hard to understand. It simply makes no sense when young or innocent people die unexpectedly. From the Creat-r's perspective the transition from a three dimensional form to a higher dimension is a perfectly natural evolution for all living beings. The vast majority of human beings are not yet cognizant of this fact and don't fully understand that death is an essential component of life. The thought of dying is usually avoided until it actually confronts them face to face, as it will for all living creatures. I stress this point since my very life hung in the balance until the Creat-r decided that I should live. Until the decision was made, however, I was fully cognizant of the fact that my life could be terminated in order to resolve the dual reality conflict that existed within the time fabric. Understand that this would have been the same situation for anyone who found themselves in that particular predicament."
"So you actually realized at that moment that your life could end?" I said with surprise in my voice.
"Yes indeed! It was the strangest sensation I have ever experienced in the sense that it seemed like all motion had stopped around me, almost as if the very life essence of all living things had been brought to a halt until a decision had been made by the Creat-r.
"Just what did the Creat-r look like?" I asked smirking. "Was He a deep thunderous voice from above or perhaps some object like a burning bush? Or better yet, did he appear as a man or a woman?"
Looking at me askance, Sir Thomas said, "I anticipated this kind of response from you, Jesse. As a result, I wrote a description of my experience that I call "The Respite." It describes what occurred while I hung between life and death. I am going to read it to you just as it occurred although I realize it will appear somewhat bizarre to you as well as to many of our readers."
"The Respite"
"Across the Abyss against a calico sky, a huge spinning pyramid points earthward. Spinning at incredible speed it makes a deep powerful tone that sounds like r-a-a. Instantly, another spinning pyramid materializes beneath the first and points skyward. Spinning at incredible speed in the opposing direction it makes a deep powerful tone that sounds like u-l-m-m. The tip of each pyramid reach out for one another and touch emitting a bright circle of white light that comes alive with a rainbow of pulsating energy and the two tones become one and sound like r-a-a-u-l-m-m. From a point within the circle of light comes a man's face that is my own. From my face comes my right hand. All around me things are forming, such as triangles and squares, circles and spirals, objects and matter, symbols and shapes of all kinds. Far too many things to conceive or understand. The hand reaches out and grabs all things and begins to spin. It spins faster and faster. It spins at such speed that the spinning can no longer be perceived. All things become still and a shrill and powerful tone from below begins which make all things tremble. The sound meets with a force prior to wisdom and understanding. Upon that meeting the hand burst forth with energy and all things are engulfed. There is light and sound as well as mass and force that confound the mind. Light becomes Hebrew symbols that become words of powerful meaning. Again, the hand reaches out and grabs all things and begins to spin. It spins faster and faster. It spins at such speed that the spinning can no longer be perceived. All things become still and a low and powerful tone from above begins which makes all things peaceful. The sound meets with a force beyond wisdom and understanding. Upon that meeting the hand burst forth with my image and all things grew quiet. I had become a well of mildness and compassion standing firmly between the pillars of mercy and judgement."
"Wow that's quite a description," I said smiling. "So you're saying in essence that the 'Being of Light' that you encountered was not really a person in the traditional sense but rather a powerful force of living white light energy?"
"Actually it was both! I could not actually see the 'Being of Light' in this World of Emanations because of the great concentration of white light energy but I could feel His actual presence near me. In fact, it was a strange feeling at the time because I could visualize Him in my mind as if I had actually seen Him with my own eyes."
"You actually saw G-d?" I exclaimed. "So just what does he look like? " Does he look like Michelangelo's version of G-d or does he look like George Burns or perhaps Charlton Heston? Err, I'm sorry I forgot Heston played Moses not G-d, but you get the idea. Hmm, come to think of it, considering "Mother Nature" could He be a She?"
"You may find this hard to believe but all of the examples you just mentioned resembled the Creat-r." exclaimed Sir Thomas smiling.
"What? I yelled loudly. "Come on Sir Thomas, that's logically impossible. Just what exactly do you mean?"
Looking at me with deadly seriousness in his eyes, Sir Thomas said in a barely audible tone, "Jesse, you should always keep in mind that logic is simply a human construct, nothing more." He hesitated for a second or two and then said, "I'm very serious about this, all human beings look like the Creat-r. When I felt the Creat-r's image, I saw all people! He could be the young child one instant, an old man the next! He could even be the virgin bride or the solder of fortune! Also your sister or brother, incredibly even your father or your mother! He was all those who have died as well as those unborn! They or rather we were all there in the Creat-r's image in an instant!"
"Well, how is that possible?" I queried while looking at Sir Thomas in disbelief.
"The emanation of primordial light from the Creat-r was being diffused within the boundaries of the Sephira, to which I had been elevated at that point in the time fabric," said Sir Thomas pursing his lips. "Thus the emanations of light from the Creat-r that were perceptible to me came across as the millions upon millions of human beings who will or have traveled across this earth since time immemorial. I knew then that I was standing in the light of the Lord of the Universe but something in me shouted out, 'Who are you that is all of mankind?' To my wonderment and amazement, melodic and powerful voices answered me from four distinct directions! 'E----h!' (I AM THAT I AM!)."
"Wow, you say that with such conviction that I almost believe you!" I replied, still trying to sound very skeptical. "If what you're saying is true then you certainly do have the inside track into what we humans can do to make this a better world for all of us. Tell me what is the one thing that people can do to make their lives on earth that much better? Just give me a simple step that anyone could follow, something that any of our readers or I could easily do, that would change our lives significantly."
"That's easy!" replied Sir Thomas laughing. "The foundation of everything is to know that there is a 'First Presence' or G-d that brought all other existences into being. The true possession of this simple fact by an individual will open the pathway to a greater understanding of all things. For example, few people understand the intricate relationship that exists between life and death in our three dimensional world. Most people avoid thoughts on the topic and focus on trying to look younger than they really are. Death is not usually a topic for discussion. When they are finally confronted with the inevitable, they often wilt and collapse and become a shadow of their former self, which usually contributes to an even earlier demise."
"Well what you're saying seems to be evident in most people," I said in an understanding manner. "Everyone wants to look young and live as long as possible. It's clear that most people truly fear death and will do almost anything to forestall the inevitable?"
"Well that's just bloody well it!" said Sir Thomas in an excited manner. " You see death cannot be totally stopped for any living creature be it human or otherwise. Even the aliens with their advanced technology can only postpone death for so long before the inevitable occurs. Organic matter is subject to entropy and always will be in this three dimensional world. We live on a planet that is pretty much guided by set rules and laws. Here the Laws of Thermodynamics and Quantum Mechanics rule supreme and have come to define our existence, and quite honestly, in the rest of the organic universe as well."
"All of this of course is also intricately tied in with our free will. If I make the brash decision to step out in front of a lorry racing along at 75 miles an hour these powerful laws that define the interactions of organic matter virtually guarantee my inevitable physical destruction in this dimension. Likewise, If I have the misfortune to fly on a plane that has not been serviced properly; I could be risking my life. So you see our free will often determines our fate in a world controlled by irrefutable laws. Normally, the Creat-r does not interfere with the free will of man except under extenuating circumstances, as in my case when the time fabric was in a state of uncontrollable flux and the situation required immediate attention. The key thing that human beings must understand is that what we call death is but another door to a dimension filled with great warmth, vitality and color. With death the illusionary three dimensional world with its linear concept of time is actually transcended and we move to an ethereal plane that is governed by a completely different set of rules and laws."
"Can you please tell me why G-d created man in this manner?" I asked, appearing perplexed. " To live only 70-80 years on the average in an organic world governed by free choice seems like such a waste."
"The Creat-r's purpose in creating man as he did was to give him a choice, to either live like an animal or to leave this behind and pursue the G-dhead, by making him collectively responsible for his actions," said Sir Thomas. Man's limited life span on this earth and in this dimension is primarily due to the organic matter of which he is composed, genetic factors, diet, disease and free will. If more people would view their life from a more holistic perspective and truly realize their limited time in this World of Action perhaps they would make a more realistic choice in terms of how they wish to lead their life. Most humans focus on the more carnal aspects of life and lead a shallow worldly existence that will terminate at death. However, we can also choose to weave an intricate web of beauty that will insure our existence as well as the existence of all other living things forever. It really comes down to decisions, to what men and women value in their lives. If you live and act like an animal all your life then you will die like an animal and then that's the end of that! The Creat-r obviously would prefer that mankind build facilitating relationships that would truly endure not only across time but the universe as well."
"I will tell you quite candidly that the Creat-r is not pleased with our lot. He has sent his greatest emissaries and Prophets as well as the very essence of Himself to us in the past to warn us of the dire consequences in store for us unless we change our perception. We have made the wrong decisions as a group that will not only effect our destiny but the destiny of all living things."
"What do you mean by the wrong decisions?" I queried. "Most of the people I know go to church regularly and raise their children in their own religious faith. At least that seems to be the case here in Canada and the United States as well as Central and South America."
"It goes beyond that! Way beyond that!" stressed Sir Thomas. "I have observed much the same behavior in Great Britain as well as the European Continent. The time for simple conformity is over. I want to stress to you something very important that has been overlooked by most people. The Creat-r never intended for the vast majority of us to be so mesmerized by materialism that we spend the better portion of our lives pursuing it. Think of how many "decent' people spend their time working away from their families so that they can buy more material possessions such as another car or a bigger house. Many times things they don't really need and can do without. This thinking is fractured; it is on an "animal" level. The Creat-r constructed a universe filled with resources for our use and the use of other creatures and mankind has spent most of its time trying to control and manipulate these resources. It has become a worldwide obsession. People vying for material possessions at the expense of following the Creat-r's wishes and harmonizing with all other living things."
"Come on Sir Thomas, it can't really be that bad!" I said cautiously as I observed this strange light growing in Sir Thomas' eyes. "All of this work has allowed our technology to progress to a very high level."
"Yes, our technology is growing leaps and bounds much to the regret of other civilizations throughout the universe." responded Sir Thomas harshly. "It's like putting a loaded revolver in the hands of a five year old child. Unfortunately, our technical know-how has far outstripped our ability to interact with one another except on the most perfunctory level. We often still express ourselves much like our ancestors who crawled out of the primeval mud. Remember what I told you previously, when you wrote 'Ridgeback Retribution' about a year or so ago? Many alien cultures are completely surprised that we have advanced so far technically despite the fact that that we don't have a 'collective intelligence' that makes decisions for the group like most alien groups do."
"Yes, of course!" I responded. "But wait a minute, I thought free choice was associated with higher intelligence. These alien groups with their 'collective intelligence' seem like a contradiction to what you said earlier. The individual aliens in these civilizations have completely lost their autonomy and are basically told what to do by this higher order intelligence. Isn't that an obvious contradiction to free will?"
"Not really," responded Sir Thomas in a matter of fact manner. 'The aliens' 'collective intelligence' is now the force that has exercised free will in this case. This dynamic force gathers information from all its potential sources then makes the best decision it can based on this input from each of its members. Thus, the only thing that has really changed is that the entity making the choice has simply moved another rung up the ladder. Free will which usually translates into what is best for the alien civilization as a whole is still being exercised."
"Like their human counterparts, certain aliens are susceptible to electromagnetic rifts that exist in hyperspace and they too are often receptive to new ideas or concepts. Where things differ is that the aliens share this immediately through their 'Collective Intelligence' and this can set millions of minds to work on the issue in a microsecond. Humans on the other hand, usually keep their ideas very secret except from a few select individuals. Most are usually reluctant to share information lest someone else gets the credit for their work. Naturally this type of dynamic is inferior to the aliens' for developing things in a quick and efficient manner."
"If you recall, Jesse, I have discussed with you before that our technology is a gift from the Creat-r. The magnetic rifts existing in hyperspace that 'seed' receptive individuals with technical ideas or constructs are there for the profound purpose of moving mankind closer to the G-dhead (See 'Don't Walk Away, Rene!'). Unfortunately, what has typically occurred is that the 'receptive' individuals who are in tune with the magnetic rifts often move closer to the G-dhead, but the countless masses that utilize the invention or construct after it is created usually do not. Remember that men like Einstein and Edison for example, took a very humanistic outlook on life in their later years. It was unfortunate that their great technical insights were revered while their views on humanity were often regarded as being somewhat eccentric and even naive. It is this very chasm that separates most of humanity from the Creat-r."
"It sounds funny to hear you say that given your previous lifestyle," I said in a forthright manner. "In essence some of the very people you are criticizing today represent how you thought and acted previously."
"I won't deny that, Jesse," said Sir Thomas compassionately. "The Creat-r expects all humans to make mistakes, that's part of the human condition. However, He also expects us to learn from our mistakes. There comes a time in all humans when each confronts a tremendous leap of faith. Each man and women must cross the path of no return, that border, that existential plane, that separates man the animal from man the mirror of G-d. It's a daunting task. In essence, we must be open to being remade, reborn and reinvented."
"The next 13 to 18 years are extremely critical for us. The events that occur between 2010 - 2015 will irrefutably define the future existence of mankind or for that matter, creaturekind. The one good thing about the impending Y2K economic disaster is that it requires people to question their current lifestyle and their core values as well. It truly could be 'the end of the world, as we know it today.' If we're wise, it may signal the turning point, the beginning of 'The Fifth Standard.' But only if we human beings can use the collective wisdom to make critical decisions as we set aside our collective greed."
"I'm sorry Sir Thomas, your losing me," I commented excitedly. "You mean you actually believe that there will be fallout from the Y2K computer glitch? I thought most of those computer problems had been corrected. At least that's what many so-called experts say today. "
"The die may have been cast for Y2K," said Sir Thomas with deep regret in his voice." We're near the point of no return in terms of aversive action now. I won't focus on the details of this to point blame except to say that the problem should have been dealt with a decade ago. The high probability pathways leading to disaster are starting to become well defined in the time fabric and will occur worldwide unless major change is taken immediately. The paralysis much like a virus could quickly impact many of the third world countries and could also have a debilitating effect on the economies of the west. It may well be the perfect example of how an incorrect technical decision made over two decades ago because of corporate greed can have a profound haunting influence on tomorrow. For some of us the Y2K concern will serve as a catalyst to completely change our core values and what we consider to be important in our lives. Unfortunately, if it occurs some will try to profit from the disaster using whatever means within their power to hoard certain material goods thereby causing much pain, grief and misery among those who have little.."
"Sir Thomas, I would like to get back to something you mentioned earlier concerning your meetings with the Archangels," I said smiling. "Do you conjure up these creatures or do they just appear whenever they want too? Tell me whether someone other than yourself can see them also?"
Looking somewhat surprised at my questions, Sir Thomas responded, "Well Jesse, on rare occasions I am petitioned by an Archangel who provides me with instructions. At other times it depends upon my needs as I've been praying. If there are issues that remain unclear to me I will sometimes take steps to evoke one of the entities for further clarification. As far as you being able to see such a being it depends upon your mental state as well as your relationship to the Creat-r."
"Well for instance, do you think I could observe you talking to an Archangel?" I said excitedly.
"It's questionable Jesse," said Sir Thomas with pursed lips." I think you could probably deal with it mentally, but I seriously question your relationship to the Creat-r. You are not a sage by any stretch of the imagination. In fact I would place your thinking squarely in the agnostic camp."
"Yes, you're right Sir Thomas, I am skeptical about this sort of thing," I said strongly. "I can believe that you think your talking to an Archangel, but I truly believe it's something probably fabricated by your subconscious mind. Besides, you told me earlier that you don't necessarily have to be a great sage to feel or 'see' the Creat-r or his disciples only that you do something unique. I certainly cannot be labeled an adept by any stretch of the imagination. Besides, what could be more unusual than to have someone like me watching you while you try and evoke your Archangel with some weird ritual?"
"Okay, Jesse as you wish," said Sir Thomas smiling. "However, I'll warn you only once. You may see and hear things beyond the realm of human logic and capacity. Remember how you reacted when you saw our time ship, the Qabala for the first time? You actually thought you were in the presence of a living, breathing being! (See 'Technical Overview #2.') Col. Stuart and I had to escort you out of the building because we both thought you were on the point of collapse. Hear me well when I tell you that the presence of the Creat-r or His key agents can be far more terrifying than anything you've experienced with the Qabala. People have been known to go insane by such an experience, especially if they have strong and rigid egos or possess a very focused perception of our world."
"I appreciate your warning Sir Thomas," I said honestly. "However, it is my charge to chronicle these events and I must know the truth. Do you intend to set up an altar or something in the hotel to perform your ceremony? Will we go back to your relative's house in Calgary or what?"
"I'll tell you what Jesse, I actually intended to evoke an entity early tomorrow morning and you're welcome to accompany me," responded Sir Thomas in a forthright fashion. " We'll leave Banff around 2:00 in the morning and head to Lake Louise which is about 30 miles further Northwest."
"Great, I love to ski at Lake Louise!" I said excitedly. Are we staying at the Chateau or at one of the condos?"
"Neither", replied Sir Thomas. "However, we will park in the Chateau parking lot and venture out onto Lake Louise in the early morning hours."
"The lake?" I queried. "What on earth are we going to do out on a frozen lake in the wee hours of the morning?"
